Day Trip To Galveston
SPRING BREAK! is here ... and though this was our trip a couple weekends ago, when it was 75 degrees, Galveston is still a great get away destination. For those who live in Houston, its a quick drive and the downtown has some great new restaurants!! We spent the day walking around , eating and soaking in the beach scene. For those who live a little farther or out of state, Galveston has great bead and breakfasts, cottages, and hotels. For those with young ones, Moody Gardens is always a favorite! We ateat Willie G's Seafood & Steak, which I highly recommend. Then we walked the gift shops, reminded me so much of New Orleans, sigh, made me want to plan a trip realllyyyy soon! I had to snap a picture of this Zaltar, one because he's just effing cool and I want one, two, because naturally all I could quote the rest of the day was the movie "BIG"...... agh! to realty set in when you realize you are BIG now and there's no turning back. Now , instead I want to relive my childhood through my little mini and enjoy every ounce of joy and innocence she contains. Try not to spend your entire spring break worrying about soaking in the sun, but soak in the precious momentsmade with your loved ones!!!
