El Cosmico has been on the top of my bucket list for a West Texas retreat. Not only does El Cosmico provide a cozy eclectic feel to its tenants but they have a unique accommodations to choose from. 'Accommodations at El Cosmico include renovated vintage trailers, safari and scout tents, Sioux-style tepees, a Mongolian yurt, and tent campsites.' I chose the safari tent which includes heated blankets on the beds. The temperature dropped to 40 something degrees at night and we city girls could not handle the cold with out some man made heat! El Cosmico also provided floor heaters for us as well, we were nice and toasty! Our dear friend Liz was a super trooper and stayed in a sleeping bag on an air mattress and was able to sleep warm and comfortable. Another girl I met on this trip was Rahya of Rahya Jewelry Design. She surprised us with these beautiful handmade earrings. I was also surprised with a bouquet of flowers at the check in desk. When the girl at the front desk handed me my flowers I turned to my friends assuming they had all gone in on my flowers but it was actually a sweet surprise from David. He had been anticipating my arrival from 9 hours away, so that I could enjoy my colorful arrangement he ordered me. It was such a special birthday weekend with a special group of girls. I was the ultimate happy camper upon my arrival at El Cosmico. I will share more pictures from the campgrounds with in the week! Please comment bellow with any recommendations for more West Texas trips to add to my list!!!
With Love, PB
(Below are links to this look. my hat was purchased at a nordstrom rack and the matisse ankle boots are over a year old, by far my favorite boot brand. They are affordable with great durability for rough and tough terrain)
