Hi.

Double Twist w/ Braid

Double Twist w/ Braid

Since my hair length is still not long enough to blend into my extensions when I wear my hair down I am always playing with new ways to wear it so that I can still have a "let your hair down" look. In a previous blog post where we took spring pictures in the bluebonnets I wanted my hair down so I through together this quick and easy hair do and thought I would share it with those who want creative ways to wear their extensions as well!

I first work on my braid crown, leaving out my bangs, I start a small braid at the root. This braid will be incorporated in the twist so I do not braid it all the way down, nor do I tie off. I start my twists a third of the way down in order to hide my clips and give a loose boho look.

After I pull back my first row of twists I use clear elastic bands (see link below). I loosely tie back this first row so that I can twist over and pull my pony tail through. I repeat this step again, using the rest of my hair from the front to twist back. Again, looping over and pulling through. This step gives my twists a fuller look in the back as well as tightens the ponytail to feel more secure through out the day.

I tend to get a little warm running around with Harper, not to mention Texas heat, so i braid my hair till the end of my normal length stops. If you braid it all the way down your extensions your regular hair will start to come out and you will just have to keep re-braiding! I love this look too!

                                                               much love, PB
